La festivale di Uva
I went to impruneta today to see the grape festival. It is time now to harvest the grapes for making wine. There was a great parade with bizarre costumes. There as an Italian mad dressed up with make up and hair done extensively as a pink butterfly….something not very common in America.
We had a lot of wine and cheese and bread, and it was a great picnic!
I also went to try on a wedding dress today. It was an Italian wedding dress……I feel in love with it. But even though the lady is selling it second hand, it is still very expensive. I knew I should not have gone to try it on! But it was beautiful and so much fun!
Friday night I went out with a friend I grew up in church with. I cant believe we found each other in Flroence. We havent seen each other since the work camp we went on together 4 years ago. It was great catching up, and Apertivo was great, I sure wish they had them in America! Maybe I should start a restaurant specifically that has apertivo! Americans would love it.
And now i am just chilling waiting for work tmw! I am excited to go back!
