Thanks for keeping up with my blog. Its strange how many similarities we have seen simply through our link to Italy. I have been super lucky to experience Italian culture, when a lot of it has become Americanized. For example the long lunch break is now getting shorter and shorter, but where I work, it remains. Your right about the coffee. Ill just try to drink as much of it as I can, knowing that its the best.

Jana,

I couldn;t agree with you more, the Italian lifestyle is without question magical. The way the interact around their food, which is an extension of their culture in every way, is nothing short of amazing. Everytime I go with Antonella, I just want to stay. The pace, the cool people, and the appreciation of so many of the finer details of life that we often forget are magnified there. If the job market wasn't so bad, and the general feeling of immobility so common, I think we would make a go of it. You never know I guess. But posts like these remind me of all the reasons I would like to be there.

As a consolation, quitting coffee should be easy on your return, just think about how much worse it will taste, and how much more of it you will have to drink :)
